Antonella Giannantoni, MD, PhD, is Associate Professor of Urology at the Department of Medical and Surgical Sciences and Neurosciences at the University of Siena, "Santa Maria delle Scotte" Hospital, Siena, Italy.
She is the Director of the Functional and Surgical Urology Unit, in the same Department.
She shows clinical and surgical experience in many fields of Functional Urology, Urogynaecology, Uro- Oncology, BPH and endoscopic urology.
She shares more than 600 scientific publications, most in peer reviewed journals as European Urology, Journal of Urology, BJU International, Urology, European Neurology and many others. She had a number of lectures and interventions in international meetings as European Association of Urology, American Association of Urology, Italian Association of Urology, with many assigned awards. She managed and/or supervised more than 50 national/international research projects, funded and not-funded and some in cooperation with the Italian Agency of Health.
She is reviewer of many Scientific Journals as The Journal of Urology, European Urology, BJU Int., Neurourology and Urodynamics. She has been Member of the Committee of the Italian Society of Neurourology and Urodynamics since 2006 to 2009. She has been Member of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Association of Urology since 2010 to 2013.
She is member of the Scientific Committee of SIPUF (Italian Society of Pelviperineology and Functional Urology).
She is a member of the board of ESSIC scientific society. She is a member of the European School of Urology Faculty.
