Dr. Chantal Dumoulin’s Canadian research chair in Urogynecological Health and aging focuses on the health of elderly women. Studies deal mainly with urinary incontinence, a very frequent problem in this population. More specifically, Dr. Dumoulin is studying the aging of the female urinary system in order to better understand the physiopathology of urinary incontinence among older women. She is also looking into the prevention and treatment of this problem as well as trying to identify the women more likely to benefit from conservative treatment such as rehabilitation of the pelvic floor muscles. Her methodological expertise includes the development and psychometric evaluation of measurement tools as well as assessment of the efficacy, continued efficacy and adherence to conservative treatments using randomized clinical trials. She is also a Cochrane Incontinence review author and editor.

Dr Chantale L Dumoulin declared on the Friday 19th April 2019 that they did not have any existing or known future financial relationships or affiliations to disclose (NONE).
