I am an Associate Professor of Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. I have been a part of Mount Sinai Hospital since 1999 where I was the first colorectal fellow and stayed on as an attending since 2000. I am also the Medical Director of Mount Sinai Chinatown practice that oversees a multidisciplinary healthcare practice providing expert medical care and building a presence for Mount Sinai in Chinatown. I am Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and also Board Certified by the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. I also am the first woman President of New York Colon and Rectal Surgery. I implanted the first sacral nerve stimulator in NYC and participates in multicenter studies on therapies for fecal incontinence. I have written chapters in the major Colon and Rectal textbooks: Corman’s Colon and Rectal Surgery and Cameron’s Current Surgical Therapy, as well as other chapters in various text relating to colon and rectal surgeries.
