He meticulously researches and tests each piece of equipment and every procedure used by CCA to enable the best, most cost-effective clinical outcomes. His hands-on understanding of all aspects of the services provided ensures that the highest standards are met. He supports his staff with high-level continuing education and a work atmosphere that invites collaboration; in return he demands the highest levels of service and care. Patients, referring providers, and staff benefit from his strong leadership combined with his unparalleled understanding of urodynamics.
Joel was raised in Queens, New York and studied at Saranac Lake, New York. He earned his degree as an Emergency Medical Technician at the American College of Paramedical Arts & Sciences in Anaheim, California in 1977. He worked as an EMT in southern California for five years before taking a position at a division of Bristol Meyers specializing in urodynamics and implants in 1982 where he became the Urology Product Manager. In 1986 he founded Advan Medical Products, a highly specialized urodynamics equipment and supplies company.
Joel's observations and experiences at Bristol Myers and Advan led him to identify the tremendous need for proper diagnosis and treatment of patients with urologic and continence issues. In 1998 he was able to realize his dream of providing much needed services including evaluation and non-surgical treatment of urinary and fecal incontinence, voiding dysfunction, pelvic pain, pelvic prolapse, bowel problems and female sexual health. He founded and continues to manage CCA in Peoria, AZ. To meet patient demand, the company has expanded to include locations in Mesa and Paradise Valley and to offer Transmobile® Urodynamics testing at healthcare practices in Arizona.
