Ms. Muller is the Executive Director of the National Association For Continence (NAFC), whose headquarters is located in Charleston, South Carolina. Ms. Muller has served in this capacity since 2000. Prior to assuming this responsibility, she served as chief operating officer for the state’s largest group of private medical practices focused on nutritional counseling and intervention. Prior to that stint, she worked for six years as a private consultant in the health care industry and has undertaken projects for such clients as the Mayo Clinic, Baylor College of Medicine, Oregon Health Sciences University, and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. With 20 years of management experience prior to consulting, including international sales management and medical product management and marketing, Ms. Muller has been employed by companies in the realm of new product launches, strategic planning, and business development. Since 2005, she has served on the Executive Council of the World Federation of Incontinent Patients. At present, she also serves on the Board of Directors of the Worldwide Fistula Foundation and on the Advisory Board of the International Council on Active Aging. She is an adjunct professor of healthcare marketing in graduate school at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). She graduated magna cum laude with a BA in French Studies from Duke University and received her MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden School of Graduate Business Administration. Ms. Muller earned her PhD degree in Health Services Research at VCU. Her dissertation covered hospital specialization strategies. She has lived abroad in both The Netherlands and France and traveled extensively.
