Alain P BOURCIER, PT is a licensed physical therapist graduated from France and Switzerland. From 1977 to 1980, he spent many months in different hospitals in North America, United Kingdom and Sweden in the most famous departments of urology and gynaecology specialized in incontinence and urodynamics. After his training, he introduced the pelvic floor rehabilitation for female in France and later in many countries. He was pioneer in the field of pelvic floor stimulation and biofeedback for treatment of urinary incontinence in both female and male patients. He worked as Visiting Professor of Urology, Department of Urology, UCLA, Los Angeles and was Consultant at the Rehabilitation Hospital at King Fahad Medical City, Riyadh, SA and at Al Walsh Hospital, Dubai, UEA. He was Contributor and Editor of books on pelvic floor disorders and has contributed to several definitive textbooks on conservative treatment and pelvic floor rehabilitation for women. He is member of many International Societies and since two decades, gives lectures on conservative treatment all over the world. He was Co-President of the of the International Pelvic Floor Dysfunction Society (1996-2001). He was also Co-President of the joint ICS/IUGA Meeting in August 2004, which was held in Paris with more than 3.000 attendees.He was Member of the Committee for the World Health Organization’s International Consultation on Incontinence on Conservative Treatment for Women (1998-2006) and on Pathophysiology (2006-2008). Mr Bourcier is an internationally known speaker on the topic of urinary incontinence and the use of devices and products for the management of incontinence. He has been invited to speak in New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Rio Janeiro, Tokyo, Seoul, Monaco, London, Toronto, Montreal and Dubai. A prolific writer, Mr. Bourcier has written and presented more than one hundred scientific papers, chapters, articles on the assessment, treatment, and management of incontinence with an emphasis on the physical therapist’s role. He is the Editor of books both in French (Urodynamique et Réadaptation en Urogynécologie,1986; Dysfonctionnements du Plancher Pelvien, 2005) and in English (Pelvic Floor Dysfunction: Investigations & Conservative Treatment, 1999 ; Pelvic Floor Disorders, 2004).Currently, he holds the position of Director of Physical Therapy Services in a private Continence Centre in Paris (CMC-de-Vinci). He is an Instructor in the School of Medicine at the University Paris VI at Tenon University Hospital in Paris. He moved from France to Switzerland to create WomenWellnessWorkout (W.W.W.) involved in the development of medical wellness facilities in training staff in Wellness Clinics. Besides his new job, he is still involved in education domain and he was recently appointed in 2012, Director of the Programs at the I.C.F.P. in Casablanca, Morocco
