Member of ICS Board from 2003, and a Trustee until 2009. Scientific Chair for ICS 1995 in Sydney. Chair of Annual meeting of ICS 2006 in Christchurch. Former member of ICS Ethics Committee. Co-chair of the Constitutional Review Committee. Co-editor with Norman Zinner and Eric Glen of “History of the ICS-the first 40 years” published by ICS in 2001.
Trained in NZ, then postgraduate training in London. SR position at the Institute of Urology, London 1971, then PhD University of London mentor: Richard Turner Warwick.
Former Chair of the Board of Urology of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Former President of the Urological Society of Australasia.
Urology tutor at the Fiji School of Medicine for 6 years.
Developed and taught in a postgraduate course in Health Sciences (Continence Management) through the University of Otago, aimed for nurses and physiotherapists.
